If you go down to Paris today
30 rue de Bourgogne 75007 ParisThis little club can be found in the 7th at the above location. It's open every night and starts around 10pm. It welcomes all languages. Paris is not quite the city of legend anymore. But since I first went there in 1990 it's undergone a small revival and seems a little more interesting and edgier. Personally I put it down to the the Eurostar, which has spread a little London know how south. The really interesting thing, poetry wise, about Paris, and France in general though, is the amount of world poetry they translate into French. I think only the Swedes do more. You can pick up poetry that will almost certainly never be available in English and it tends to be of quite a high quality because the translator acts as a kind of filter.
