Poetry Man.

As I've written before, it's interesting to look at how other art forms look at poetry. Entitled Nothing but Poetry Man, this is one of a beautiful set of wall murals, available from Den Poitras at custompaintedmurals. The works vivid blues are rendered in collage shadow box frames, with de-junked objects, to create a wiry poet, standing in the foreground, against the legend of a sinking ship. The poet is in possession of a number of poems: they are internal, and perhaps poems in waiting. Its iconic objects convey the idea of the poet as deliberating chronicler, liberator of music, keeper of rage and translator of natural phenomenon into symbolic content. Is such an interpretation, a valid idea of a poet in 2006? You decide.
